Added 6x6x6 And 7x7x7

Are you ready for the biggest cubing challenge in history? ;). The format is average of 5 and the scramble lengths are 80 (6x6x6) and 100 (7x7x7). Let us know if the scramble length is too short. R²' means turning two outer layers counterclockwise.

    YAY!

  2. Javier June 30, 2008 at 17:00

    WOW!

  3. Andrew June 30, 2008 at 18:16

This is REALLLY off topic but i think it wold be pretty cool if there was a dropdown menu titled PLL's and you could time yourself on each PLL. just a suggestion, i'm fine if it doesn't happen

  4. Feliks_Zemdegs July 01, 2008 at 00:24

    Can you add relays?

  5. Nathan July 02, 2008 at 22:15

you guys are so lucky you have these things already... grrr...

  6. Flame838 July 03, 2008 at 16:33

Yea I probably won't be getting mine until August or something...

  7. Danny_Devitt July 04, 2008 at 03:07

well only 4 people have logged 6x6 or 7x7 times so far

  8. shvak1 July 06, 2008 at 13:34

    i agree with andrew

  9. Bounb July 06, 2008 at 14:26

would it be possible to have a 'find match' system whereby you can go head to head with someone of your level?

  10. KyleMason July 06, 2008 at 17:07

    That would be awesome Bounb!

  11. KyleSchiller July 06, 2008 at 17:08

    I agree with Bounb.

  12. qqwref July 06, 2008 at 19:13

Biggest cubing challenge? Nah, let's reserve that for 6x6 or 7x7 BLD :D

  13. Bounb July 07, 2008 at 11:11

Also, at some point Skewb would be a nice section to have (yes I know it isn't a competition puzzle but neither are PLL time attack and 6x6/7x7). No hurry though, this is a great site.

  14. mingtse18 July 09, 2008 at 07:13

    that very good~~~

  15. tim July 10, 2008 at 10:45

@Andrew: We won't add such a feature. It doesn't fit well into the design of the page and imo it's not possible to accurately time the execution of PLLs

@Bounb: Sounds like a good idea. We'll think about it and wether it'll be realized or not. Thanks for the suggestion.

@Feliks_Zemdegs: We will add one relay. But i'm not sure which one's the best choice. 2x2-5x5?

@qqwref: We all know it's multi bld ;).

  16. CAT13 July 10, 2008 at 10:58

    for relays I say 2x2-5x5

  17. luisgepeto July 10, 2008 at 15:01

I think there should be inspection time!

  18. KyleMason July 10, 2008 at 15:21

Why don't you just look at the cube before you hit spacebar? And I agree with 2x2-5x5 relay.

  19. qqwref July 10, 2008 at 17:50

    Nah, Tim, it's multi 6x6 and 7x7 :)

I wanna see you do 24 7x7 multi. C'mon, you can do it!

  20. Andrew July 11, 2008 at 14:41

Sorry tim, didn't know. I also agree with luis that there should be inspection time. The 2x2-5x5 relay sounds like the best one.

  21. Feliks_Zemdegs July 11, 2008 at 20:47

    2x2 to 5x5!

    I don't even have a 5x5!

What about the people that don't have that many cubes. Do a 2x2 to 4x4 relay.

  22. qqwref July 11, 2008 at 21:01

2x2-5x5 is the most common relay though, since those cubes were all the mass-produced ones for something like a 20-year span. Get a 5x5, they're not too expensive...

  23. Leviticus July 12, 2008 at 02:23

I agree on the 2x2-5x5 relay, 2x2-7x7 will take too long and get boring. Plus 2x2-5x5 you can practice all your cubes in one hit, which i need because i always favour one cube, thus losing speed on another :)

  24. MaxAnderson July 14, 2008 at 19:04

about the scrambleing the scrambles are good however it would be nice if you coule put an extra space between the notation becuase it is easy to get lost example: R(little 2)2'__R2 two spaces and mabey an extra space between each line like this:

    Notation extra space here Notation

I think that would make it easier to scramble because I got lost a couple times.

  25. Leviticus July 16, 2008 at 08:15

Hello, i was wondering if it was possible if a user could delete an event they competed in because theres some events in my profile that i don't want there, Thank you very much :)

    -Levi-

  26. Andrew July 17, 2008 at 19:18

Yeah Levi that would be cool to be able to delete points on your graph

  27. Leviticus July 18, 2008 at 00:13

No not points, because they show improvement. I mean actual events, because i dont what 2x2 OH in my profile bcause i just don't do it and other events etc.

  28. Andrew July 20, 2008 at 08:54

Oh, well I do as much stuff as possible!

  29. cubenori July 20, 2008 at 22:20

you know for the pll time attack is it possible to attach the plls themselves? ( just like A,T,Y..etc.)

  30. CAT13 July 22, 2008 at 16:42

We should be able to choose certain competitions to be highlighted or separated from others because I always have to search for the competitions that I want to enter and I often miss a couple.

  31. Danny_Devitt July 22, 2008 at 21:57

cubenori- that was already suggested and replied to above CAT13- the competitions you've already competed in are listed on your profile so you can directly go to them from there

  32. Rubiks_Reality August 01, 2008 at 21:29

Do you know when the relay is going to be up?

  33. rubixcubematt August 02, 2008 at 23:05

on the relay topic, if there was only going to be one then i think it sould definately be a 2x2-5x5, but i think it would be cool to have like a 2x2 and 3x3 relay or a 3x3 and 4x4 relay, or any kind of combination. well thats my 2 cents, i dont run the site anyway

  34. cubenori August 03, 2008 at 21:40

no i mean a list of plls because to do the time attack i have to either write them down or like print a list of them which would be unneccessary if there was already a list on the webpage

  35. Sarah_Strong August 04, 2008 at 19:49

    I have finally finished doing 1000 3x3x3 averages here! :D k...now what should I do? :P

  36. KyleMason August 05, 2008 at 13:19

    1000 4x4x4 averages.

  37. Javier August 06, 2008 at 18:23

Sarah, how do you know how many you did?

  38. mpohl100 August 08, 2008 at 14:40

Lol Sarah's Curve shows consistant improvement. really nice. keep up the good work.

  39. Sarah_Strong August 08, 2008 at 17:54

    @Javier
click on "Get your times in CSV format!". It organizes all the time in a speadsheet

    @mpohl100
    thanks :)

  40. Sarah_Strong August 08, 2008 at 18:19

I need to admit that I only submit my good averages though, my times aren't always that consistent @_@

  41. mpohl100 August 09, 2008 at 05:05

@Sarah: Well I also don't submit the bad averages. I think that everyone does that. I'd also like to know how you counted how many averages you submitted. Did you count them from the beginning or what?

  42. Sarah_Strong August 09, 2008 at 18:05

@mpohl100 lol no I didn't COUNT them, if you click on "Get your times in CSV format!" it displays all the individual times and scrambles in a spreadsheet, all you have to to is scroll to the bottom of the page to see the number of averages.

  43. Javier August 13, 2008 at 11:09

    Thanks Sarah

  44. rubixcubematt August 21, 2008 at 05:31

this site is awesome already, but is it possible if we could have an option to have an average of 10 out of 12 on here. also this is probably asking too much, but it would b awesome if we could do the sunday contest rite on this website

  45. alexcook August 22, 2008 at 13:28

Tim: I accidentally did 7x7 speed under 7x7 blindfolded.(I was wondering why it was only best of 3.:P) Could you please delete that? Thanks!

  46. Pascal August 23, 2008 at 09:57

to anyone who participates in making this site: i accidentally held the enter button while on 3x3, plz delete the crazy times. Sry for the inconvenience.

  47. simon August 23, 2008 at 16:25

Hey guys. Sorry for the lack of presence and updates. Tim and I are very busy learning for exams. For any requests (e.g. time deletions ;) please use the ticketing system. It makes it easier for us to keep track of what still needs to be done.

    Happy cubing, Simon

  48. Mia November 06, 2008 at 04:08

    hey guys.. What is this?

  49. Mia November 06, 2008 at 04:08

Where am i writing right now?

  50. Mia November 06, 2008 at 04:09

    ohh okay i understand..

  51. tim November 06, 2008 at 06:45

    Hi Mia,

your times don't seem to be real at all, so i just set your status to 'ignored'.

    Happy cubing :).

  52. Mia November 06, 2008 at 12:20

    what are you talking about?

  53. Mia November 06, 2008 at 12:21

Check the PLL Attack scores before you judge me!

  54. Mia November 06, 2008 at 12:24

Then i understand why there is no one good at this site, they all get ignored

  55. tim November 06, 2008 at 18:54

Just check the records and you'll find several good cubers :). If you really want to discuss that issue, write me a mail at t.habermaas@gmail.com.

  56. Maarten November 08, 2008 at 07:13

    Please remove my 3.14 times!

  57. webfox November 20, 2008 at 06:02

The graph of progress doesn't appear at all (3x3)

  58. webfox November 20, 2008 at 11:43

Now it works just fine :)

  59. immelol4 November 21, 2008 at 19:51

please remove my 10.64 avg for square 1, i was just seeing how fast i could get to cube form:P

  60. webfox November 22, 2008 at 10:30

The progress graph doesn't appear. again. What is wrong with that thing?

  61. webfox November 23, 2008 at 09:35

I just found out it only works in Internet Explorer, but then it screws the whole page up. =\

  62. MrData December 06, 2008 at 15:08

Please remove the 3x3 foot average... I forgot to put 4 DNF's and it gave me a 0.00 single record.

  63. immelol4 December 12, 2008 at 16:21

how about for the relays, you have lets say 20 or so empty slots.so first you click an empty slot and a menu will pop up.the first thing is how many puzzles you are going to put in the relay then a list of all the puzzles available on the website. so say you were going to do 3 cubes multiblind, 3 cubes OH, and 3 cubes regularly(speed).first you would scroll down to 3x3 bld and click on it.then it would show up on an image or some list of what you have chosen so far.there would be a box labeled quantity where you would write 3.then you would do that until you were satisfied with it.also there would be a delete feature for when you run out of empty slots or dont have the required puzzles anymore.also, in the confirm menu for the delete button, there would be an check box of "save times"for if you held a record for it or were proud of it.

  64. immelol4 December 12, 2008 at 16:23

when i said"satisfied with it", i meant until you have all the puzzles you want on it

  65. Hadley December 13, 2008 at 00:39

I think that an option to do an avg of 12 would be neat.

  66. rjohnson_8ball December 24, 2008 at 21:27

Has notation for 4x4 and bigger cubes been standardized? I checked WCA and Wiki, but they are unclear. I understand for a 7x7, R(superscript 2) means turn 2 layers, the R face and the one next to it. For 4x4 and 5x5, does that notation still apply? Or for those do we use Rw or r to represent L(superscript 2)? Or does r mean only the slice next to the R face?

  67. rjohnson_8ball December 24, 2008 at 21:29

oops, typo. I meant R(superscript 2) in place of L(superscript 2) in the 5th sentence.

  68. cuber101 December 25, 2008 at 01:50

i think you should add a multi speed solve option

  69. Douglas December 25, 2008 at 20:58

question, someone mentioned above that someone elses time curve looked good. How do you see someone elses graph? thanks.

    Doug

  70. immelol4 December 25, 2008 at 21:03

You go to the puzzle of which you would like to see their graph(grammar fail) and select the option "compare to" and find their name.

  71. Douglas December 25, 2008 at 21:38

    ok, got it. Thanks

  72. TD2013 January 04, 2009 at 17:27
